product Testimonials
These are actual comments and unsolicited endorsements from OCTTO customers and sponsored Ambassador riders.
We don't sponsor our team-riders just for their pretty faces and (usually) great results. We actually tell them to do their best to wear out our products. If they do, the data and feedback goes to our R&D and is applied to product-revisions. If they can't, then the product usually goes to production.
Of course, the average consumer has different needs than the average racer, so our customers' feedback is equally important and valid.

"Thanks so much for the wheels. They are absolutely straight, as light as my tubs and very well crafted. Rode [120km] to Domestique [Café] today and they were perfect - up hill and down and in the considerable wind."

"...it's been an up and down season. Good Friday [Road Race] should have been a joke and ended up a disaster [separated shoulder]. The OCTTO ended up fine but for a derailleur hanger, thank god. I still absolutely, frigging love that bike."

"I wanted to tell you that did a 140 km bike ride yesterday on the OCTTO and it is by far the best bike I have ever ridden. Stiff yet plush the ride, it is an amazing bike. I've rode Giant, Specialized and Argon 18 and I can say honestly you have a customer for life[.] "

"I just had my first ride today. It was terrific. The bike is smooth and responsive. The ride is soft. Best of all I seem to get more power with the same amount of effort (compared to my Giant). Thanks..."

"I've finally finished my project bike, an early 80's Italian BMZ bike, for which I ordered your lime-green tape. I also recently upgraded the tape on my LandShark with your bright orange tape.
The tape is very comfortable, and eye-catching.
Thanks & best wishes!"

"So far I have about 7000km on the wheels [OCTTO WH-01 Racing Clinchers] and this is the first time I touched them. The stage [race*] in Trinidad that threw out the rear wheel was worse than any cross race... hitting potholes, loose rocks, gravel, full force at 60kph decending.... crazy stuff. Never seen a race course that bad in my life. it was fun though.
After Trinidad the rear wheel went out 4-5mm. I tightened up the non-drive side spokes and I've put another 1000km on that wheel."
[* Actually, the 9 days of road-racing in Trinindad-Tobago: the 4 day Tour of San Fernando Valley in Trinidad + the 5 day Tour of Tobago, all on one wheelset.]

"Thank you so much for your help with the [Dynamic] Duo endeavors in 2008-09. You were by far the most appreciative, helpful and resourceful sponsor. Your components are wicked, pretty bullet proof and great even in Euro Cross, tried and tested."

"I just wanted to let you know that the bike is awesome! I feel very dialed in on it and rode on Saturday for the 3rd time on it ....245km to Deerhurst in Muskoka, basically 34kph with very decent conditions.
BOTTOM LINE -- the bike rocks and I look forward to the rest of the rides and representing OCTTO!!
Thanks again for coming on board so quickly."
